General Information on Visa to UAE All holders of Singapore passport valid for more than six months are welcome to enter the UAE, and no longer need to obtain a visa to enter the country if the duration of stay is less than one month.
Citizens of the following countries no longer need to obtain a visa prior to entry if the duration of stay is less than one month: United States, UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, South Korea, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and United States of America.
· All visitors should have a valid return travel ticket and a passport valid for a minimum period of three months for tourists and six months for employment. · Resident visas and work permits are issued by the concerned authorities in the UAE and the application is made through a prospective employer

96 Hour Transit Visa (Available on Arrival)This transit visa is granted according to the following condition and procedures and subject to the approval of the Airport Immigration upon arrival:. · The carrying Airlines shall submit a list of the names of transit passengers, undertaking therein their responsibility for such passenger’s violation of the Law of Entry and Residence of Foreigners and relevant Executive Regulations and Decisions. · The Concerned authority at the port of entry shall approve the list containing the names of transit passengers, who desire to enter, after being audited, and thereafter endorse the foreigner’s passport with the period for which he is permitted to stay in the Country, and stamp it with the stamp of entry. · It is conditional that the transiting passenger should be heading to a Country other than he came from.
Note: The best approach for non-Singaporean to obtain a visa is through their sponsor or host in UAE. Ask the sponsor to process a visa from the UAE; This takes only four working days. The host can then fax a copy of the visa to you, and the original visa will be held at the UAE airport. In this example, there is no need to apply at the Embassy. If non-citizens apply through the embassy, the processing time is much longer and might involve interviews and approvals from UAE authorities. The Embassy does not issue tourist or transit visas. Hotels in the UAE issue tourist visas, and airlines issue transit visas. Travellers should have copies of visas before departure.
